KUMPIR Turkish
. The Kumpir It is one of the tastiest dishes in the turkish traditional cuisine. It is a fast food, which basically consists of a baked potato stuffed with numerous ingredients, which you can vary depending on your preferences.
This is how, depending on the chosen filling, we can obtain a dish with a more or less high calorie content. But in any case, very simple to prepare, complete and delicious.
The filling that we put is the traditional one or suggested, but in the street stalls of Turkey you can choose from a wide variety of ingredients for all tastes. Go ahead and prepare this easy kumpir recipeyou will see that it is a true delight!
Ingredients:
4 large potatoes (potatoes) (8 portions)
100g butter
200g grated cheese
200 g minced meat, chicken or sausage
½ cup sliced olives
½ cup chopped gherkins
½ cup canned carrots
½ cup peas or peas
½ cup of canned corn (choclo grains)
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup of yogurt or sauce of your choice
Salt to taste
Optionally mustard and ketchup
Preparation:
- The first step is to wash the potatoes very well in order to remove any trace of soil or dirt.
- Next, wrap the unpeeled and uncut potatoes in aluminum foil, and place them in the oven at 180° for about 45 minutes.
- After this time, insert a toothpick to make sure the potatoes are well cooked, if so, remove them from the oven.
- In a bowl add the olives, gherkins, carrots, peas, corn, mayonnaise, yogurt and salt to taste. Mix everything well and reserve..
- With the potatoes still hot, make a longitudinal cut and Open them in the middle, splitting them in two.
- With a spoon or fork, open a hole in each one to place the filling, crushing the inside and mixing it with grated cheese and butter.
- Fill each half potato with the picadillo and the salad that we had reserved.
- Optionally you can place a little ketchup, mustard and/or mayonnaise on top.
